Viewfinder Lab

Viewfinder Lab · a DROPPIN company

Your test data, brought into focus.

You tested everything. Your clients get a report and your audience gets a ranking. We turn the results into products: a platform your clients log into, and an assistant that shows every shopper their answer. Build one, or both.

Osprey Lane Nimbus, Fictional comparison example. This example has the lowest pinky contact pressure in the sample table. That describes the synthetic fixture result, not your toe-box fit or pain relief. Check length, width and comfort in person.

02The problem

The best data in your sport is sitting in a spreadsheet.

You bought the rig. You ran every product through it. You built the database nobody else has. Then it goes out as a PDF and a top-ten list, and the depth never gets used. Your clients can't compare across everything you've measured. Your audience can't tell which one is theirs. The data already knows. It just has no way to say it.

03Proof

We turned a footwear lab into software.

Heeluxe measured thousands of shoes with pressure sensors and sold the results as reports. We designed and built FitGalaxie, the cloud database where footwear brands now log in to benchmark fit and compare against competitors. Then we built the Fit Assistant, which turns the same measurements into recommendations a runner can use in a store. One lab. One dataset. Two products.

04Choose your product

Two products from one dataset. Pick one or take both.

Same data, same engine, two different people on the other end. Your paying clients, and their customers.

for your clients

Darkroom

Where your clients develop the results.

A login for the brands and retailers who pay for your testing. Their results, scored and benchmarked against everything you've ever measured, with a plain recommendation at the end. Testing stops being a report they file and becomes something they check every week.

  • Scores and benchmarks
  • Compare by brand, category, or season
  • A recommendation, not a chart to decode
  • Your branding, their login

Who it's for. Labs with paying clients. Anyone who sends a PDF and wonders if it got read.

for their customers

AutoFocus

The shopper asks. Your data answers.

A few questions about how someone plays, runs, or drives. Then their match, pulled from your results, with the reasons shown. It only knows your data, and it says so when you haven't measured something. No guessing, no made-up numbers.

  • Fit finder
  • Visual comparisons
  • An assistant trained only on your results

Who it's for. Retailers with a lab, review sites with real data, and labs whose clients sell to the public.

the full loop

Both

The full loop.

Your clients work in the Darkroom. Their shoppers get AutoFocus. Every new test feeds both. This is what we built for footwear, and it's the version where your lab stops being a service and starts being a product line.

Your data stays yours. We build the view. New products show up as you test them. Nothing learned from your users leaves your tool.

05How it works

How it works

  1. 01

    Audit.

We look at what you've tested and how it's stored, then tell you which product it can power first.

  2. 02

    Design.

We design it around your clients or your shoppers and your brand. You see it before we build it.

  3. 03

    Build.

We connect your data, tune the scores and recommendations, and build it into your site.

  4. 04

    Launch and care.

We launch it, add new products as you test them, and keep it running.

06Who it's for

Built for people who test things.

  1. 01 · sample rows, footwear

    Independent labs

Your clients pay per test. Give them a Darkroom and they'll pay per month.

  2. 02 · sample rows, golf

    Retailers with a lab

Your testing sells product. It could also sell to the brands making it.

  3. 03 · sample rows, tires

    Review sites with real data

The database is the product. Your readers are the first customers. Brands are the second.

07Pricing

Start with an audit. Then choose.

The audit is fixed price and two weeks. You get a map of what your data can power, a sketch of the product in your brand, and a fixed quote for Darkroom, AutoFocus, or both. If your data isn't ready, you'll know that too.
